I was out of town and couldn't respond to your earlier message, sorry. I just now got caught up with my mail. The "proof" we have of Lewrainey and Allen being siblings is a court document that Allen filed on the estate of Sarah Gilbert, his mother. He served it on Lewrainey and James Beck, who were executors of her estate. The other "proof" we have is verbal from Allen's descendants who lived in Cordova, AL, when my two cousins visited them several years ago. I spoke, at length, with my Beck cousin who visited these Gilbert cousins. This cousin lives in another state from me, so I'm not able to look at his documents at this time. I admit I did find Sarah's maiden name different from what we had been told, but mistakes do happen. Do you have record of Allen being in Cordova, AL? Or any of his descendants?
