Hi all Mears searchers,


Like most of you I am an in-law and trying to compile info on the Mears family. My husband is related to William Johnson Mears and his son William Frederick Mears and Sarah Elizabeth Scharkie moved to Wingham in 1911. I am finding photos which I have put on Ancestry thanks to my husbands cousin Rex who still lives in Wingham. I have managed to find where Sarah Ann Johnson came to Australia with 3 children under the name Myers on the James Laing in 1840 but cant find where Frederick William came out and so strange that hes not on the same veesel. Those wonderful searchers did state that he was on the Patriach but I cant find when that ship actually arrived with him on it unless again its a different spelling. The Patriach isnt listed in the 1840's as arriving in Sydney?
Can anyone help.
also If anyone needs more info I may be able to help.
