This branch of my family has been elusive, especially since I am putting the pieces together using my aunt's recollections she wrote back in 1981 when she was almost 80. She was given to embellishment as well, so that did cloud a bit of information but surprisingly this part was fairly accurate.
I am not sure when I will be returning to the Detroit area (my mother and brothers still live in the area) but I will pass this along to my mother (who is now 80) in hopes that when the weather clears for spring she might be inclined to go do a little searching.
What is interesting is this is the first information with "Willis" as the name. Nothing else I try to run in various databases show this information and I wonder how it ended up as such (possible illiteracy or problems understanding an accent).
The Berger's are really an ancillary family to my search but they are still germane as their daughter was the wife of Michael Wills.
