He says that Thomas married the second Mary three weeks after the first Mary was hung as a witch. She found a pre-nuptial agreement to the effect that the two older children would be bound out and only the younger kept in the family. There were three children from Mary Barnes, two boys and a girl. The oldest, a girl named Sarah is who I am related. She married a John Scoville. Thomas BArnes had two more children from his second wife, also a Mary. The second Mary was the daughter of the arresting constable and was somewhat younger that her predessor.
