Just to 'set the record straight', following 3 more years of research, I have reached the conclusion that there was only 1 Otis Smith who was the husband of Eleanor Palmer and father of Wriley Smith. Otis Smith's father would have been Zebulon. I think that the information re Reuben Smith being the grandfather of Wriley as noted in the obit was either an error or was referring to a generation further in the past
