I am of McCrary's in Clay County. My first known ancestors in the Clay County are John McCrary b. 2/15/1808 in Newberry Co, SC d. 2/3/1896 in Randolph Co. AL He was married to Rebecca Boone b. 2/8/1811 in SC, d. 7/19/1889 in Randolph Co. AL. Now they lived in Randolph County when they both passed away, however all of their children seem to have spent their lives in Clay county. Both John and Rebecca are buried in the New Harmony Christian Church Cemetery.
