Things get even more confusing in the 1881 census for Wolfe Island, Frontenac. We find the following Forbes family:

The children are all listed as born in Ontario but the parents are listed as born in Ireland. If the above Ellen is the same who married Francis Caverly she would have been born about 1870. I search 1870 to 1873 but could not find a birth record for Helen or Eleanor. On a marriage record for Frank Caverly and Helen Forbes her age is shown as 24 in 1897 which would make her birth 1873.
