I have been going over this for some time trying to figure out a way to get more information on him. I have found him in several land records and am sending away for all the information that the KY Secretary of State has about his land purchases. Looking at the land records, there was also a Samuel Moore who got a land grant for a Henly Moore who was deceased and fought in the Rev War. This Sam is too old to be the one I am researching but could be this ones dad as there was one listed in the 1820 Scott Co VA census with 5 kids all the correct age range. The Samuel I am researching also bought land and was granted land on the same day as a James Moore on more than one occasion, not sure if they are related.

My other plan is to try and collect birth certificates for his kids and see if that yields any information.

If I find anything, I will definitely post it. I am very interested in this family.

No, I am sorry, I don't know anything about Thursa's lineage yet. My ancestors come from his second wife so I have been focusing my efforts more on her.
