OH! what a tangled web we weave. Took me a minute to figure out this relationship... but here's my two cents in more mingling.

Johannes George Bohrer married Maria Appolonia Fromknecht (b.1803) in 1828 in Grossfischlingen, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany

Appolonia's brother was Joseph Fromknecht (b.1813)

George's brother was Alois Bohrer

Joseph Fromknecht's g.granddaughter, Agnes Ann Fromknecht (b.1904) married Alois Bohrer's g.grandson, George Bohrer (c. 1898)

Joannes George (the first George Bohrer) was the godparent of my husband's great grandfather (Agnes Ann's grandfather), the first Fromknecht of this line born in the United States.

Joseph Fromknecht's wife was Maria Haft. Most of Maria's brother's immigrated in 1847 on the "Admiral". Joseph and Maria immigrated around 1848 to Erie, Pennsylvania, just before Joseph Jr. was born in Aug 1848.

I always suspected George Bohrer was with them since he was his Godfather, but I have yet to find their ship's list. But the search must go on.
