Surnames: Riley, Heckman, Steele, Abbott, Davenport, Richardson, Scovel, Hogaboom
William Tecumseh Riley was my great-grandfather. His wife Frances Marion Riley was from Elmira, NY. She had sisters Emma and Margaret, maybe more. One married a Richardson and the other a Davenport. She had 10 children and lost four I think in Utah. Another one died as a teen, her name was Mata. My father, Francis Riley Abbott, had two cousins. I knew Bertha Scovel, Harriet Hogaboom, and my grandmother, Jessie Abbott, when I was young. Esther had a daughter named Esther who married an Archibald Steele. Esther Riley married a Johnson. My father had no siblings and three children. We are all well and have children. I am currently sorting through many old letters and have numerous photos of William T. and his wife, and many other of their relatives. W.T. was at the battle of Gettysburg, was with the pony express, was a postmaster, and many other jobs. The family ended up around Hailey, Idaho, and then most moved to San Diego, CA. He died in 1917 and she died in 1916. I have some of the photos at http://www.earthvision/info .
If anyone knows more about these lines I would love to share information.
