Hi again,
This is part of what I posted in Apr. 09 on the NORCAL List. I'm told "Frank" MOURA probably lived in Oakland, CA, beside San Francisco:
FYI:
I've mentioned a MOURA family before, but maybe not for a year or 2.
I've been looking for a Francisco "Frank" MOURA, b~1893 Azores, who first
lived near Boston, MA (or New Bedford, MA). But, possibly during 1920's
he moved to CA and reportedly lived in "wine country." I've been
thinking about the family again today, and someone did a look-up for me.
This researcher found a Frank MOURA in the 1930 census, living in Oakland.
He is of the right age, and I'd like to find out if he was the brother of
Mrs. Elsie (MOURA) PACHECO of Cambridge, MA.
I just checked the SSDI for the MOURA name, and it can also be spelled MORA
and several other ways. And, I found several people with the MOURA
spelling, and born in the 1920's, and living in Hayward. Frank was born
~1893, so his children could have been born during the 1920's.
I just looked on-line and saw that both Oakland and Hayward are very close
to San Francisco.
If it is the same man, Frank was living in New Bedford, MA, in 1920 as a
married man. That is why I say he probably moved during the 1920's.

But, even though descendants of their brothers "Frank" and "Manny" MOURA kept in touch with them possibly up to 1970's, I've never heard from descendants of them. And, I don't know if my husband's relatives know of them now.)
