Morganton, Burke County, North Carolina is where it began for many of us southern born Englands. Isabella England's (born abt. 1820) descendents are the lone line of Englands still entrenched in Burke County through her son Joseph Buchanan England, August 1855.
Joseph B. had an older brother James (born abt. 1845) and sister Ann (b. abt. 1837) whose families we are looking to connect with. It is believed Isabella's maiden name was also England. Isabella (possibly nicknamed "Ive" ) was named after her mother Isabella born (abt. 1800) most probably in Burke County.
Isabella's (Ive) younger siblings were Mary J. England (b. abt. 1827), Elizaberth England (b. abt. 1829), Catherine England (b. abt. 1833), and Joseph Alexander England (b. abt. 1837).
We are looking for information on any of these family lines and once established would love to include you and your family stories in our Oct. 7-9 Reunion.
Drop me a line and let's discuss and lets see how many gaps we can bridge. I am also working with The Burke County's de facto family historian to confirm some long ignored possibilities. Could we have a win-win reason to put our research together?
