I am searching for a connection of the Juenke family from Hannover to the states in and about the early part of the 1800s. At this time I do not have the parents of Henrich Gottfried Juenke, b abt 1774, and wife, Clare Elisabeth Moegebier, b 1775, in Wolfshagen, Hannover, Prussia.
I don't have any idea if there were siblings and what part of the Juenkes that came to America through Galveston, TX, Philadelphia and/or New York City. I know there are Juenkes in Minnesota and Iowa, but there are some in Texas, Nevada, Washington and California. My father came over in Sept. 1911 as a 13 yr. old with his brother Henry and father, August Heinrich Jacob Juenke.
We also know that the name Juenke was also spelled Junke with the umlauf over the e. Any information that can make a connection would be appreciated and also will share facts anyone requesting.
