Capt. Benjamin Berry Mullins (Richard6, Gabriel5, Matthew4, Richard3, Matthew2, Abraham Moulin1) was b. October 11, 1825 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky and d. March 23, 1897 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky. He m. Sarah Ann Daugherty August 20, 1856 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky by Thomas Loomis, d/o Johnathan Daugherty and Sarah Thrasher. She was b. September 28, 1835 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky and d. February 18, 1916 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky.

Benjamin Berry Mullins is mentioned in a list of prisoners as being a Capt. of Co. C of the First Mounted Rifles, C.S.A. The list was compiled by Mrs. Barbara (Giltner) Pryor, wife of Lt. Col. Moses Tandy Pryor, Commanding Officer of the Fourth Regiment Kentucky Cavalry, C.S.A. Mrs. Pryor was very instrumental in sending clothing and personal items in packages while these men suffered in the cold north. (Pg. 56 & 57, "Kentucky Cavaliers in Dixie, Reminscences of a Confederate Cavalryman," by George Dallas Mosgrove, Introduction by James A Ramage, ISBN No. 0-8032-8253-2, Bison Books Edition, Published by the University of Nebraska Press, 1999, orinally printed 1957.)

An article appearing in the Falmouth Outlook of Friday, August 27, 1982 on page 18 listing the Post Offices of 1860 (Part II) and showing Benjamin as living at Morning View, Kenton Co., Kentucky.

Captured at Shelbyville, Kentucky October 7, 1863 and spent the remainder of the Civil War in Johnson's Island Prisoner of War Depot at Lower Sandusky, Ohio.

Pension Application #899 dated June 17, 1912 located in the National Archives.

He also is reported to have lived in the Falmouth area of Pendleton Co. known as Mullins pond.

He and his wife are buried in Riverside Cemetery.

4. Olive "Ollie" mullins, b. 1866 in Falmouth, Pendleton Co., Kentucky; d. August 10, 1933 in Valpraiso, Indiana

m. a Childers. She was an educator (H.S. principal). She lived in Falmouth, Pendleton Co., Kentucky. She is buried Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Kentucky.
5. Daisey "Dosie" Mullins, b. 1869 in Pendleton Co.,Ky.; d. 1923 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky. Married Amos G.Meador. They are both buried Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Kentucky.
6. Ellen "Nellie" Mullins, b. 1871 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky. Married Leslie E. Loomis.
7. Maude Mullins, b. 1874 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky; d. 1960. Married John W. McGentry.
8. Frances Mullins, b. April 26, 1876 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky; d. 1939 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky. Married Hickman P. Childers, January 9, 1900. He was b. 1876 and d.1914 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky.
The children of Frances and Hickman were: Daisey Mullins Childers, 1905-1984 in Pendleton Co., Kentucky and Benjamin Mullins Childers, 1909-1942. They are all buried in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Pendleton Co., Kentucky.
