Her baby Anna Margaret (Marguerite) Nelson was placed in North Dakota Children's Home Society in Fargo in January? 1919. Anna Margaret(spelling changed) was adopted April 11, 1919 by John and Josephine Shay of Stutsman County, N.D. and raised in Pettibone, Kidder County, N.D. until about 1934 when they moved to Minnesota to farm in Becker or Norman County near Flom, Minnesota. My mother was named Berlette Roselia Shay at time of adoption in 1919. In 1936 she married Gilbert Sanden, and they had two daughters.
