How does one go about finding out the parentage of a 1799 convict?
Here's what I know:
William Dean born c1764 Egham, Surrey, died 1833 Sydney NSW.
Death certificate doesn't list parents.
William arrived on the Hillsborough and later married Margaret Davies/Jones.
According to Family Search parents are William Dean and Ann ?
