Recently started researching my mother's family - can anyone provide information pertaining to John Wesley WISE, born 1840-42 and died 1920-22. Understand from one of my mom's half sisters that their grandfather had at least 3 wives. Cedecia Corley was one wife (#2 from what I have been told) and the mother of my grandfather, John Asmond WISE. Known children of John Wesley: George Dantzler, John Asmond, Sidney, Balham(sp?), Ison D., Robert Lee, William Tally, David Simpson and a daughter whose name is unknown at this time. I have been told that she was taken to be raised by her maternal grandparents, from Columbia, upon the death of her mother - wife #1 or #3. John Asmond was married twice - 1st to Maggie Senn, then to Hattie Cleo Spires, daughter of John E. SPIRES and Harriett C. SHARPE. I understand that all families lived in, and the areas surrounding, the Edmund-Pelion-Swansea triangle. If there is another descendent working on this family, I would welcome !
