I am looking for parents of both Gilbert Hales b. abt 1825 in Princeton, Johnston, NC and his wife: Eliza (Luizer) Stansel(Stancil or Stancel) b. abt 1826 in Princeton d. 1889 in Johnston County. Gilbert & Eliza had 9 children: Willis, Martha, Mary, Callie Anna (my husband's great grandmother), Sallie (Callie Anna's twin),Bettie Hales, William, and Thomas. Eliza had a son out of wedlock and Gilbert later adopted him: John W. Reinfrew (his last name could be Renfrow--because I haven't found any other Reinfrew's in Johnston County at this time.
