Lambert K. Hepting was b. abt 1832/4 in Neukirch, Baden, Germany, the sone of Sebastian Hepting and Catherine Muckle. Abt 1851 he moved to Stirling to work with his uncle, Peter Ketterer in the clock making trade. Lambert founded the successful Hepting & Ferrar Jewlers, which is still in business in Stirling today, although no longer family owned.
Lambert m. 1860 to Mary Mitchel Campbell McLachlan, the dau of Duncan McLachlan and Mary Ferguson. Lambert & Mary had the following children. I would love to find more information on their descendants:

4. Duncan Emanuel Hepting b. 1869 Stirling, d. 1913 Glasgow, Scotland. m. abt 1872 Emily. had 1 dau Alice Emily Hepting b. 1872.
5. Frederick William Lambert Hepting b. 1871 Stirling, d. aft 1891 possibly in Glasgow.
