Daniel (1) McFarland arr Boston summer 1718, moved to Marblehead MA briefly, then to Worcester MA where he died ca 1738 (Worcester Probate); had son James (2) McFarland of Brunswick ME,died 1741, Crane and others (see Bolton 1910) state that the family came from Ulster...C K Bolton in particular claims that the family came from Ardstraw, in Tyrone. Interested in anyone researching very early Tyrone records (pre-1718) have seen some Hearthmoney Rolls with McFarlands mentioned, but would like more specific info on the family.
