Surnames: Horton, Peacock
My grandfather, Rufus Wiley Horton, born july 1881 in Jersey City, was orphaned, so know little about his ancestry. His
mother was Nettie (Mignonette) Peacock Horton from Haywood County, TN. Born soon after 1860 and moved to NJ with
her father Dr. Rufus Wiley Peacock 1827-1899). She married a Horton (don't even know his first name - Ralph or William), who died in a RR accident (1880-81) before Rufus was born. Nettie's mother, Martha Davie Peacock, was dead by then. Nettie died when young Rufus was a boy (late 80s early 90s) said to have taken sick - sent to institution, but returned home to her father's house to die. Dr. Rufus had remarried Ann Martha Norfleet McCullock (Grandma Hattie), who died in Jersey City in 1913 (have her death cert.- address was 273 4th St.) and buried in Clarksville, TN. Dr. Rufus attended NYU Medical School, 1875 grad.

Tried to get birth cert. on Rufus Horton and death cert. on Nettie from Trenton, since I have approx dates, but my dates must not be close enough.

Can anyone help me to find out:
When Nettie died? Where buried?
When Nettie and ? Horton married/ his identity?
Record of train wreck in 1880 where a Horton killed?
Institution where Nettie Peacock Horton may have gone when sick (that might have a record of her stay)
Where Dr. Rufus Wiley Peacock buried?
Any property deeds?
Any will?
Any obits?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
- Ray
