Verla or Verlie Allstun, born about 1900 in Kentucky, was said to have been placed in some sort of girls home, probably not an orphanage but more like a troubled teen home about 1914-1916 in St. Louis, Missouri. She married in St. Louis on 6 Sep 1916 so I'm positive ishe was not there afterwards. Does anyone out there know of such a home that was active during this time? Hopefully, I could get records reguarding her parent's names.
