Seeking information and ancestors for Collin McCurdy, a shoemaker of Maytown, Lancaster Co, PA in the the 1850 and 1860 census. He was married to Catharine Elberty c 1850 an d his mother Catharine McCurdy was also in the 1850 h/h. In 1865, Collin joined the Union Army and was killed in VA. His marker is in Lancaster Co.

On 13 Nov 1865, his son Collin Elberty McCurdy was born in Maytown. CE McCurdy would later marry Elizabeth Jane Updegrove of nearby Wrightsville, York Co, PA. They were my great grandparents.
