Don't think there is a connection but my great great grandfather Paul Mooney came to Wi.through the P.O.N.Y. in 1842.Spent some time in Iowa (somewhere?). Paul homesteaded in Lemonweir,Wi(1855).Paul Mooney was from Queens Co.(Leix),Ireland. He came over with 2 brothers(names unknown).After porting N.Y.,never saw them again.Lemonweir near the Wi. Dells/Lyndon Station.
