Is anyone related to this person? I'm trying to figure out his connection to my family. Perhaps it was my father's boyhood friend or he belonged to Immaculate Conception RC Church, Astoria,, Queens Co., NYC.

He lived in Astoria, Queens Co. as a boy, sometime ending in 1935-6. In Jan. 1936, he wrote one of a few letters to my grandmother, thanking her for all that she did for him and treating him as she did her two children. He was writing to her from 383 Silver Street, South Boston, MA.

In June 1936, he refers to visiting his father who worked and lived in Astoria in August. He mentions living with his uncle in Boston "one of the nicest men I know except for Brother Bernard." His uncle "gives me an allowance and all the clothes I need." He included that he is "treated well here [Boston] and despised there." [Astoria]

Then wrote, "I got a pair of glasses as soon as I arrived. I met my [three]step sisters and [two] brothers and they all treat me fine. I got a whole list of Christmas Presents."

The clue to his age is "I now wear long pants and no more knickers."

He stated that he stayed at Mrs. MULQUEEN's house [Astoria] the night before he left for Boston, so she was the only one he said good bye to.
