I am searching for the parents/ancestors/family of Charles HUNTER. He was born about 1838. According to his Civil War military record, he was born in Wood County, West Virginia. An old letter from a cousin says that he grew up with the HALL family, in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. Family stories indicate that he had 2 or 3 sisters. He died in July 1867, in Mills County, Iowa. He was married to Lydia COOPER on 20 March 1859, in Mills Co., IA. They had 4 children - William, Watson, Charles and Ida.
