Edward Magnus Meyer was born in 1818 in manchester england to maurice sigismund meyer and paulina magnus. his mother died in 1831 and maurice married again to susannah graves in 1832.
edward died in 1889 in st Petersburg russia
he married caroline henrietta krafft known as lina in 1848 in st petersburg.
