I am not convinced that the John Perry b. mid-1700's I am looking for is the son of Samuel Perry from Ulster, Ireland. What I know is that he was married to Penelope and they had three children, Nancy b. 1770, Samuel b. 1775, and Thomas William b. 1776. Penelope died in 1777, and John of Samuel marries Violette Moore in 1778. No reference in any record of him (John of Samuel) mentions these three children in Louisiana. I really can't believe he would just abandon them. But if he did, who took them in? And if he stayed, where is he? I can't find him or his family in a census ANYWHERE! Help???
