In beginning my family tree, I have stumbled across six or seven "tribal" surnames that are interlinked in my family tree.

Wesort, triracial isolates, etc seem to keep coming up.

Does anyone who grew up in Southern MD know of this Proctor clan?

What are they known for?
There is a lot of rumors being perpetuated that they intermarried, claim Indian Heritage, are of unknown racial background.

Can anyone "clue me" in as to what the buzz is all about?
