I am looking for the family of William MARSHALL and Mary (O'NEAL) MARSHALL of County Down, Ireland. Wm. was born July 13, 1837, Mary in 1840/41 (acc. to 1870 census age). He and Mary were married in 1858 and moved to Little Hocking, Wash. Co., Ohio in 1859. He served in the 73rd OH Infantry, Co.F (Union) from 1861 to 1865. They had 10 children: James Marshall (b. 1858/59, Ireland) m. Nettie JOHNSTON Feb. 3, 1889; Rosanna Marshall(b. June 20, 1861) m. William CORNES(b. Sept. 21, 1859) July 25, 1880 (my ggrandparents); John S. Marshall m. Clara WOOD Jan 20, 1887; Katie Marshall (b. 1865/66) m. William PENROD Jan. 5, 1888; Joseph (b. Feb. 20, 1870) m. Martha MCILVANE Oct. 29, 1893; Matilda Marshall b. Apr.16, 1871 (spouses unk.); Maggie Marshall (b. 1874/75) m. either John T. LEMLEY Oct. 7, 1889 or George MILHOAN or both?; Samuel Marshall (b.1872/73) m. Maud JOHNSON Nov. 30, 1899; William J. Marshall (b. 1864/65) m. Catharine MUELLER Sept. 30, 1899; and Sherman Marshall (b. 1869/70) no marriage found. Jan. 10, 1899, William (age 61), son of William and Sally (MORROW) MARSHALL married Siba MURPHY (50), daughter of William and Bridget (LAVELLE) MURPHY. I do not have a date for Mary or Sibby's deaths; however, William died Nov. 15, 1922 and was buried in the Decatur M.E. cemetery in Decatur Twp., Wash. Co., OH Nov. 17, 1922.
