Much help is need in trying to locate my aunt, Mary Ann Schroeder/Patrie. She is the daughter of Ella Helene Alice Schroeder/Patrie. Mary Ann was given up either for adaption or placed in an orphanage soon after her birth on 12 June 1934, after my grandmother died giving birth to her. Ella is the daughter of John & Emma (Geske) Schroeder who lived in the Town of Day, Route #3 Stratford, WI., which is also where Mary Ann was born. Mary Ann's father was Nick Patrie, son of Mathias (Petrie) Patrie & Mary (Beining) Patrie, who married my grandmother shortly before she died on 2 May 1934. He died in 1985. I've tried working with the State for my aunts adoption records but they are sealed. Mary Ann had a half-brother (my father) Marvin John Schroeder, who lived in Stratford until the late 1940's. He died in 1985 of cancer. Marvin married Margaret Hanna Poppy (my mother) 25 Sept 1947. Ella had one sister Mabel, who married John Thon and one brother Albert, who married Elnora Poppy.

Mary Ann is NOT listed on the 1940 U.S. census as living with my great grandfather John Schroeder, in the Town of Day, NOR is Mary Ann mentioned in my great grandfather's obituary in the Stratford Journal, dated November 23, 1944.

Please any help that could be given in locating my aunt Mary Ann, who would be 79 years old on 12 June 2013, would be greatly appreciated.
