Hi list,
I am looking for Samuel Montgomery and his wife Mary Graves. Samuel served in the War of 1812. I have 1 page from his pension file. His wife Mary, filed for the pension in Roane Co., TN. Those attesting on the paper were: J. M. Brandon and J. S. Fritts. I believe that J. M. Brandon is James/Jesse Montgomery Brandon. J. M. Brandon, according to another researcher, said that J. M. was murdered in Roane County, Tenn. in 1882, shortly after signing this pension paper.
Also on this paper, personally appeared Houston Rodgers, age 48 and Mary Montgomery, age 45 years. (Mary Montgomery was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Graves Brandon (?) Mary Graves Brandon, was sometimes called Pollie. Mary Montgomery was the wife of my ancester, David Washington Montgomery, who was born in N. C. and they moved to Roane Co., Tenn. where he died. David and Mary Montgomery were married in North Carolina. Samuel Brandon served under Capt. James Stuart in the regiment of 24, in the war of 1812. This was sworn and subscribed on the 7th day of June, 1882, in Roane Co., Tenn.
Can anyone tell me who Samuel Brandon's parents are, who Mary Graves Brandon's parents are, and, who J. Montgomery Brandon's parents are. Also any siblings for these families, and where they came from.

Thank you
Linda
