I am a direct descendant of Thomas Allwood, of Westgate, Rotherham. His son Francis (b.1816) was a brewer married to Eliz Glazebrook. Their son John (b.1843)who married Elizabeth Burdon in London had two sons John and Frank who emigrated to New Zealand as children without their parents. John in NZ was my G/grandfather. I would like to know more of the family and find out how it happened that the boys came to NZ without their parents. ( there is one story that they arrived with an Aunty Anne)
