Looking for my father's family. He was adopted in Sept., 1938 at the age of 4. His name on the adoption papers was ATRID DAVIS Naves. His date of birth was 8/2/34. He was born in Blossom, Texas and adopted in Paris/Roxton, Texas. My father was raised in Roxton, Texas by his adopted parents, Folly & Jewell Hale. He is now buried in Roxton @ Restland.

The adoption papers showed his father to be GEORGE DAVIS, mother MATTIE LEE DAVIS, stepfather GEORGE NAVES. The way the adoption papers read is that my father was removed from the home and signed approved by his stepfather, GEORGE NAVES.

Stories my mother remembers my daddy telling was that he also had a sister that was adopted out - Age & name unknown to me. It was also said that his mother may have been committed to Terrell????
