Hello, I was hoping that I could get some tips on what to do here.

I've been looking for any information I can find on my grandfather but so far I've hit a dead end.

His name is Bertie Hope (that is his full name) and he was born on January 1, 1920 in Cambridgeshire and died in June, 1985 in Manitoba, Canada. He served in the Royal Air Force during WWII, emigrated to Canada in 1947 and married Wanda Gertrude Dennis.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience but I really do wish to find out more about my grandfather's side of the family. The only record I've been able to find involving him so far on the site is a 1916-2005 Birth Index.

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
