I haven't been doing this very long, but I would like to clear up an item I have already seen posted numerous times.
Perry Dover, son of John Dover and Dorinda Louise Whisonant did not die in York County, nor anywhere in the Carolinas. Perry and family moved to Florida around 1911. A snippet of the obituary is as follows;
"September-1922- A prominent businessman and merchant in Starke, Florida, Perry was well sought after for his views on progress. He was an active Mason and one of the largest property owners in Starke, Florida. The body will be transported by rail to Grover, N. Carolina for interment accompanied by family.
Other relatives at time of Mr. Dover's death were:
William (Willie) Dover of Grover, N. Carolina
George Dover of Texas
Mary (Dover) Hardin of Grover N. Carolina."
*Perry was my G Grandfather.
