Juan Antonio ESPARZA's marriage record of 1799 in San Antonio, Texas, USA says that he moved from Saltillo about 1797, and was born in San Juan el Mesquital. That is possibly Juan Aldama in Zacastecas. I am looking for any information on the Esparzas in Saltillo, and information on San Jual el Mesquital.
This is the marriage record:
In the parish of the Village of San Fernando and Presidio of San Antonio of Bexar, on the 20th day of the month of July, 1799, I, Mr. Gavino Valdez, the commissioned priest of this parish, after reading the mnarriage banns of three days countinual courtship during solemn Mass on Sunday, June 30th, July 7th, and Sunday the 14th, which resulted without impediment and was celebrated in the Village of Saltillo on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of June, married Juan Antonio Esparza, mestiso, originally from San Juan el Mesquital and raised since a child in the Village of Saltillo and residing in this Presidio for the last two years, legitimate son of Juan Antonio Esparza (sic - Actual name Jose Francisco Maria Esparza) and of Polonia Perez. The official witnesses were Jose Antonio de la Garza and Concepcion Farias. Other witnesses were (illegible) and Jose Ramon Leal, all of this village. For this it is legal.
Thank you.
