My husband says he was in an orphanage around Mansfield. Said his mother worked to pay board so he and his brother would not be adopted. In 1930 I could find one orphanage in Mansfield, but my husband, William D Martin, born in 1916 in Ohio, and his brother, Joseph M Martin, born in 1920, are not listed. Their mother, Verna, is listed as a servant in Washington Township. Does anyone know of any other orphanage or childrens' home in the area during that time? Thank you.
