Two months ago (January 7, 2003) I wrote to the Lucas County Clerk asking for assistance in trying to locate possible probate records for my ggg grandfather, John Durall, who died in Lucas County on May 7, 1856. I am happy to pay for such services if they exist, but I have not heard back from them at all. I had even enclosed a self-addressed stamped envelope for reply. Is this typical of Lucas County? I have not had such problems with counties in Illinois, Missouri or Kansas and have had replies from all of them that were written at the same time as this one. Thanks for any help or suggestions!
