I am looking for the family of PATRICK HOWE, m. to ANN BRYANT. Their son, Patrick was born in Co. Galway, on April 1, 1835. The family arrived in Boston, Mass. on March 1, 1842. Young Patrick married Ellen A. [Nellie] Doherty, daughter of John and Bridgit Doherty, in Boston in April of 1863. They had at least six children; Lillian,b. 1865, John [Jack], b. before 1870, Alice and Evelyn, b. 1870, Frederick,b. April 4, 1873, and Patrick, b. 1880, [died at the age of six weeks]. Young Patrick was an engineer / machinist, and had his own business. He also raised dogs,and was instrumental in the introduction of the Boston Bull Dog. He died on March 20, 1909. Nellie died in Oct. of 1912. They are both buried in Calvary cemetery in Boston. Lillian and Alice never married. Lillian died at the age of 81, Alice at the age of 25. Both are buried with their parents. Evelyn married a Scanlon. Jack married and had a son, Dick. Frederick married Mary Ann O'Connor, daughter of William H. O'Connor and Margaret L. McCarthy. Any help with the family history in Co. Galway would be grand.
