Seeking information on George H. Dickerson (or Dickinson), born 18 January 1867 of the Ceres, McKean Co., PA area. George H. Dickerson (aka Dickinson) and Alice May Champlin were married February 22, 1889, at the Methodist Church, located on State line at both town of Genesee, Allegany County, NY and Ceres, McKean County, PA. . Alice May (born 5 August 1873) was 16 years old. I have no information on George. I am still searching.
George H. Dickerson and Alice May lived in Shinglehouse, PA after they got married.
George and Alice had one child, a son Leo Leroy Dickinson. Leo was born 13 October 1889 in Ceres, PA and died 1 November 1964 in Bellevue, FL. He married Mary Frances Burdick of Almond, Allegany Co., NY. Leo and Mary lived and raised their family of 5 children (Harold Charles, Winfred Marian, Lewis Raymond, Ruth Lucille, and Geraldine Louise) in Almond.
Records indicate this may be the George H. Dickerson, son of Charles William Dickerson (born 4 August 1840 and died 10 March 1870 at Eldred, PA, buried at the East Sharon Cemetery, Shinglehouse, PA) and Olive A. Treat Price Drumb (sic). Charles and Olive were married 10 April 1866 at Eldred, PA. Any information you can give me on this family (Ancestors, descendents, births, deaths, marriages, etc.) and their children George H. (born 18 January 1867), Charles Fred (born 11 June 1868 at Eldred, PA and died 13 November 1941 at Ceres, NY and buried at the East Sharon Cemetery, Shinglehouse, PA), and Mary O. (born 7 January 1870 at Eldred, PA) will be appreciated. It is believed George was buried at Mr. Hope Cemetery.
