I was wondering if anyone could find out the parents of a John Rosencrantz. I found him totally by accident on a paper I had of the 1881 Canadian Census.

I'm hoping he is maybe a brother of my gg grandmother, Ellen Rosencrantz. I haven't been able to find records of Ellen's parents. Her death certificate doesn't even list them. I thought maybe since this John Rosencrantz was born only a year before Ellen, that he maybe a missing link to Ellen's parents.

I'm crossing my fingers.

P.S. The census I have for Canada says Hessian Line, I know it has to do with a German population, but where in Nova Scotia would be considered the Hessian Line?
