Accidental Drowning in Helmsdale Harbour

My great-grandfather, David Edwards Warden, lived in Arbroath (Angus) for most of his life -- but he drowned on May 9, 1914, in Sutherland, in the parish of Kildonan. His death registration indicates that he was "found on sea beach at Polsom outside Helmsdale Harbour."

He was an insurance canvasser, a widower, and his death was certified by Doctor Islie.

I'd like to try to obtain a newspaper account of this incident, if possible, but I have no idea what newspapers might have covered Helmsdale during this period and where they might presently be available. (There was nothing in the Arbroath papers, apparently.)

Any help would be much appreciated!
