I am looking for information about a CHAPPELL family that is avoiding detection.

I have POLLY STUBBLEFIELD b: 1819 AL that married UNKNOWN CHAPPELL circa 1840 in AL or TN. It could be Jackson Co., AL because her family unit was still in AL in the 1840 census. They were in Rutherford Co., TN by Feb 1841.
Based on the rest of Polly's family being in those two counties in that time frame. Although it could be (for some reason) Polly married Mr. Chappell in NC.

The reason I am looking in NC is because a friend said that she found many CHAPPELL families in NC, AND all the families that married POLLY STUBBLEFIELD'S siblings were from NC.

So basically this is a stab-in-the-dark.

Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
