Has anyone any information regarding MARSHALL WORTLEY ?
Born Sussex England C1815 - illegitamate son of Marshall Wortley & Barbara Bartley. Transported to Tasmania 1839 for 15 years, for felony.
Marshall's father (Marshall) was the third son of my 3x great grandfather.
He was transported on the 'Canton' arriving in 1840.
I cannot find any information after this.
Did he stay in Australia or die, or maybe he returned to th UK? I wonder if he married & may have descendants in Australia?
Any information would be most gratefully received.
