Does anyone know where to find records of Pharmacist from the mid 1800's. My 2nd great grandfather, Joseph Blackman, was a "druggist" in Charleston, SC. She shows up in the 1850 till 1890 census as a druggist and in the Charleston City directories as a druggist. The last city directory he is in is 1892, and he died in 1893. I am trying to find out where he got his license, have checked with the SC Board of Pharmacy and they don't have records back then. Any guidance in where to look would be appreciated. Thanks, Mandy
