Hello,
I am trying to trace the motto " In Ecclesiam Regemque " which appears on a porcelain plate dating to about 1820. So far I have not been able to find this motto in any publication, nor am I aware of its meaning. It is associated with a crest of ( gu ) a rampant lion, ducally gorged, holding in his dexter paw a mullet.
Any advice as to which family / organisation may have used this motto and crest would be much appreciated.
Regards,
John.
