Does anyone have any evidence supporting the fact that William (1836-1907) was the son of James (1801-1877) and Erixana Caroline Wells Withrow? I know that he was, but need proof, perhaps an obituary or a deed. So far, all I have found was the 1850 census where he's listed in the household, but of course, that census doesn't spell out the relationships. I also have his military record and his widow's pension application, but they don't have the information I need. Am working toward DAR membership and this is the last bit I need to tie up.
