My ggrandfather was Edward Narcisse RIVET. He always said he was born in Worcester, Mass., which he pronounced "Wooster". His first language was French. He was born 9 Sept.1881. He died, 9 Feb. 1948, and was buried in Saratoga Springs,NY. He married Phebe DeMott. His parents were Narcisse RIVET and Elizabeth FILADO. They both died in Montreal ,Quebec,Canada. I have seen Rivet spelled differently, and FILADO is strictly phonetic. no one in the family was sure how to spell it. A lot of this is oral family traditon from my grandmother. I do know he spoke very"broken" English and I'm sure of the death information. Any information about these people would be greatly appreciated.
