I found an image concerning my g-grandfather. The name shown is Peter Barbie (Peter Barbier, alias), and there is information concerning his pension from the civil war. He was with the 51st Regiment, Company K of the Illinois infantry.

Other possibilities are the names of Peter Barbear, Peter Bearbear, and Peter Barbria, all from the 51st. I find nothing about pension activity from these names, and it seems to me these names could very well actually be Peter Barbie, my g-grandfather. Do you think this is likely, and if so, how would I go about getting this information from CyberDrive Illinois or other sources? I do have pension application numbers from both his and his widow's applications (from a later date). I also have the certificate numbers for both. Any replies will be very much appreciated.
